I am happy to announce the fourth annual Short Story Contest. The first three years were full of surprises, and great stories. Volume 3 was distributed to over 1,000 Texas Libraries for FREE as part of the DEAR Texas Literacy Program that supports Title 1 schools and libraries.

This exciting annual contest is open to any Texan that has a short story to tell. Great prizes are given to the top three winners of each genre, including printed copies of the anthology, memberships, and cash prizes.

View some of our past winners reading their stories on video, or listen to them on audio.

Short Stories by Texas Authors is an annual contest to find the best Texas Authors while raising money for literacy programs. This is one of the many brain storms from B. Alan Bourgeois the director and founder of Texas Authors, Inc., a not for profit organization designed to help support and market Texas Authors.
