Any writer who lives in Texas is eligible

to submit a short story in any category. The 2016 contest will begin on March 1st with a $30 entry fee per story. The minimum count allowed is 1,500 words, the maximum word count allowed is 3,000 words. A Texas writer can enter as many stories as they would like. The story can not have been published at any time in any form. No poetry will be accepted for entry.

Entries will begin on March 1st

and continue till July 31st. All voting will be completed by August 1st. Winners will be announced by Sept 1st. Publication of the winners from 2016 will be by October 15th.
